“When I first came to Valley I had the desire to stay clean. But I honestly didn’t know how. I didn’t have any of the tools I needed to have a successful recovery. The therapists had compassion and understanding for anything I was going through or have been through. They helped me decide what medications would help me. It didn’t matter what kind of a day I was having they were always there to help me. I would go to the group meetings and always learn something about myself. I am a recovering heroin addict, today I am 581 days clean. I still use mind-body bridging, daily, a group taught by one of the best people I have ever met. Going to group meetings every day, I really considered everyone that worked there as my family.” – Mallorie
“Valley has given me guidance and support to get my life back. When I came into the program, I was homeless, I was not living with my children, and had damaged all relationships with my family. After 20 years of active addiction, Valley provided me with the tools to live a life of recovery, rebuild my family relationships, and become a productive member of society. After completing treatment, Valley gave me the opportunity to give back to the JRI program by mentoring and assisting others with their substance use treatment. I will forever be grateful for the support and guidance I continue to receive from Valley.” – Heidi
“With the help of Valley, I have been able to learn skills, work through past obstacles, and prepare better for the future. I have been able to improve relationships and I am developing skills and habits to better manage my life. The staff at Valley care and provide me with the tools and support to help me grow. By getting help from Valley I can continue to grow, learn, and improve. Support and resources are available with Valley. The first step is reaching out.” – Lori
