Outpatient treatment offers flexible scheduling for substance abuse and mental health sessions, allowing clients to integrate treatment into their daily lives. This approach helps clients remain in the “real world,” dealing with real-life triggers while receiving support from counselors to develop coping skills. A significant component is group therapy, where participants learn coping mechanisms, recognize triggers, and gain support from peers. This communal support reduces isolation and positively influences behavior.

Outpatient Treatment may involve:

  • Bipolar disorder treatment
  • Case management
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Family therapy
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Psychiatric medication
  • Psychotherapy
  • Stress management skills
  • Substance use disorder treatment

Our outpatient services are available in Tooele County and Salt Lake County at our North Valley and South Valley clinics. Valley Behavioral Health has been a leading provider of outpatient programs in Utah for over 25 years.

Individuals can access our outpatient services through referrals from their primary care provider, hospital step-downs, or self-referrals.
